We are running the Alton Towers Half Marathon this autumn to raise money for PetSavers - the charity that funds clinical research to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in pets.

As the BSAVA Student Representative at Harper & Keele Vet School, I wanted to kick off the new academic year by doing something that makes a real difference (dragging Maddy along with me!). PetSavers is a small charity that relies on its supporters, and every pound raised goes directly towards helping vets better understand and treat animals we all love.

This challenge is a chance to not only push myself but also to start the year by giving back, showing the strength of our student community, and supporting a cause that will benefit countless pets and owners in the future.
