Raising money for Action Medical Research

Teams of four will be setting off at sunrise on this Triathlon-style adventure challenge aiming to finish before the sun sets! Teams will cycle, hike and canoe around the breathtaking Brecon Beacons.

Story

Like many charities Action' Medical Research's fund raising in the last year has been badly affected by the impact of the Coronavirus. We're a team of 4 guys that want to use some of our spare time created by the Virus to help raise urgent funds for vital medical research to save and change the lives of babies and children.

We will be starting at sunrise in Talybont-on-Usk and cycling a 30 mile loop through the Brecon Beacons, our first real test will be a 350m ascent to the highest point of the cycle route, and from there have been promised a view across to the next test, to the summit of Pen Y Fan. Leaving our bikes behind we then tackle Pen Y Fan by foot, an 8 mile round trip to an altitude of 886m. Hike completed we’ll be back on the bike for a 15-mile ride through the town of Brecon and out towards Lake Llangorse for a 2 mile open water canoe section. Having successfully navigated the canoe section we’ll jump back on the bikes for the final 11miles back to the finish line at Talybont-on-Usk.

Every penny helps and we would be very grateful if you could please help us support Action Medical Research's vital work.

Many Thanks.
