Our Dad and Grandad was an incredible man. We have very fond memories of him over the years, spending his time in the garden, walking the grandchildren up Bunny Hill, and listening and singing to his favourite 50’s music.

But sadly he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and Alzheimer’s a few years ago and sadly so to was his own Mum our Nana.

Having watched them both deteriorate to this horrid disease, some days not remembering who we were, getting frustrated that they couldn’t remember. We couldn’t of done without the support of the Care Home where he lived, or the support of the MacMillan Nurses. They were absolutely amazing, providing excellent care to Dad, but also providing the family with advice, much needed support and pallative care in his final days. We can never thank them enough.

Therefore we have decided to walk up Snowdon (something we’ve wanted to do for a number of years) to raise much needed funds to Dougie Mac as a thank you from all them family.
