Raising money for Awyr Las Gogledd Cymru - Blue Sky North Wales
In memory of Lucie Anne Owen

Awyr Las (Blue Sky) is the North Wales NHS Charity. Through the charity you can support the specific hospital wards, departments or community healthcare services that are closest to your heart. Your support helps fund added extras which the NHS in North Wales cannot provide.

Story

Ar y 24ain o Dachwedd 2023, collon ni ffrind, cydweithiwr a pherson cwbl arbennig.

Yn anffodus, collodd Lucie Anne Owen ei brwydr i ganser y diwrnod hwnnw - brwydr a wynebodd yn dawel ac yn ddewr, ac eto roedd hi'n dal i feddwl am eraill hyd at y diwedd un. Roedd Lucie yn poeni'n fawr am bobl ac yn ceisio ei gorau glas i helpu'r rhai a oedd yn ei chael hi'n anodd neu'n llai ffodus o'i chwmpas. Nid oedd yn dymuno sylw, fe wnaeth wahaniaeth enfawr wrth redeg sefydliadau ag ym mywydau pobl, boed hynny yn ei bywyd proffesiynol neu bersonol, a hynny’n dawel ac yn ddiymhongar. Gallai Lucie wir oleuo'r ystafell gyda'i phersonoliaeth hwyliog, ei natur garedig a’i hiwmor ffraeth. Yn sicr, collwyd golau llachar pan adawodd hi ni'r llynedd - bydd colled ar ôl Lucie bob amser ond bydd hi’n aros yn ein cof ni am byth . . .

Felly i gofio amdani, byddwn yn trefnu taith gerdded cyfnos i fyny'r Wyddfa ddydd Sadwrn y 15fed o Fehefin 2024. Roedd Lucie wrth ei bodd yn bod yn actif ac allan yn yr awyr agored; nid oedd ganddi ofn her a chredai yng ngrym cerdded ym myd natur i hybu lles rhywun. Ochr yn ochr â gwneud y daith gerdded hon er cof am Lucie, ein nod hefyd yw codi arian ar gyfer achos a oedd yn agos at galon Lucie - Canolfan Trin Canser Gogledd Cymru. Felly helpwch ni i godi cymaint o arian ag y gallwn at achos gwych er cof annwyl am berson ffantastig – Lucie Anne Owen.

On the 24th of November 2023, we lost a great friend, colleague and overall special person...

Lucie Anne Owen sadly lost her battle to cancer that day - a battle which she faced privately and courageously, yet still she thought of others right to the very end. Lucie cared deeply about people and strived to help those who were struggling or less fortunate around her. She never craved for the limelight, humbly making a huge difference to the running of organisations and the lives of people, both in her professional and personal life. Lucie could indeed illuminate the room with her bubbly personality, kind nature and wicked sense of houmour... A bright light was certainly lost when she left us last year – Lucie will always be missed but never forgotten...

So to remember her, we will be arranging a twilight walk up Snowdon on Saturday the 15th of June 2024. Lucie loved being active and outdoors; she did not shy away from a challenge and believed in the power of walking in nature to boost one’s wellbeing. Alongside doing this walk in Lucie’s memory, we also aim to raise funds for a cause which was close to Lucie’s heart – the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre. So please help us to raise as much money as we can for a great cause in honour of a fantastic person – Lucie Anne Owen.
