Story
I am fortunate enough to have got a ballot place for the London Marathon 2024! It’s been a challenging 8 months of training but Sunday 21st of April is just around the corner.
Running a Marathon has always been on the bucket list and I always said if I was lucky enough to get a place in the ballot, I would give it my best. So here goes!
Many people have asked me which charity I am running for and the answer has always been none! My target has always been to get to the start line.
So I’ve decided to see if I can raise a little for charity after all, I’m sure knowing that I am supporting a good cause will give me the extra push I need.
I’ve chosen Tommy’s and Cancer Research. Both charities support causes that change lives and break hearts. However, they also build huge strength, courage, determination and resilience. So ultimately, when everything hurts and the pain is real at whichever mile it hits (!), I will be calling on all those things to get me over the line.
So, please feel free to give anything you can to support such worthy causes.
And also, I’m bib number 27144 if you want to follow me plodding my way round London!
