Story

The Fishermen’s Mission is the only national charity dedicated to supporting active and retired fishermen, as well as their families, in times of need. Fishing is one of the UK’s most dangerous industries, with crews facing unpredictable seas, harsh weather, and financial instability. The charity provides emergency support to those injured or lost at sea, financial assistance to struggling families, and emotional care to help combat isolation and mental health challenges. They also offer welfare services, ensuring retired fishermen are not forgotten. Whether through practical aid, crisis response, or a listening ear, the Fishermen’s Mission is a lifeline for the fishing community, helping those who dedicate their lives to putting food on our tables.
