Story

Remembering Henry James Yi Luk (2012 – 2022).

This is the Justgiving launch page to remember our brave, kind, big hearted Henry who sadly passed away in February 2022 following an almost 3 year battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.

We always joked that Henry was once seen, never forgotten, but he really did have a huge impact on those that met him or knew of him through family and friends. Despite his own health struggles Henry was determined to help others and bring a smile to the faces of those around him. When asked what he wanted for his 9th birthday Henry answered that he would like Lego and some money to give to charities that looked after children with cancer to make them smile. For Christmas he was asked the same question and he asked again for some Lego but also for something he could give to people to make them happy.

The three charities that we have chosen to honour Henry's memory are not only close to our hearts but also encompass what Henry wanted to do, help others, make children with cancer smile and the act of giving to make people happy.

Our chosen charities are:

1) The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

2) Demelza Hospice Care for Children

3) The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust (Tiger ward)

Each of the 'team member' links below, under the name 'Hua Luk' will take you to the individual ‘Remembering Henry’ page for each of the charities above. Each page will give further information as to why these causes are especially close to our hearts and why we are determined to support them. Donate to one charity, or maybe a small donation to all three! Every penny donated really will make a difference.

Thank everyone for your support.

Lots of Love
