UPDATE
On Friday 13 September 2024 we set off on our 3 peaks challenge weekend, expertly chauffered by Stefano and Mem. Unfortunately Mother Nature did not want us to climb Ben Nevis that day (75km/hr is way too dangerous) so we headed off to Snowdon, excited and with a few nerves jangling. We needn't have worried, Martin and Fraser our most excellent guides, had us covered. Leading us up the mountain and back down again safely despite the wind and the dark.
Next stop the Lake District. Unfortunately Mother Nature didn't want us climbing Scafell Pike either - again too windy. Another disappointment but we were able to go to plans B and C and still achieve our 3 peaks - up Cat Bells - misty, wet and windy. And finally up to Stickell Tarn with beautiful views, blue skies and waterfalls.
Overall it was a great experience and we're already talking about trying again for THE 3 Peaks next year! As well as other walking challenges and more training.
A massive thank you again to all our families, friends, colleagues, sponsors and supporters. We smashed our fundraising targets for our 2 charities - Holbrook Animal Rescue and London Search and Rescue, and with Lou's fundraising for Great Ormond Street Hospital https://www.justgiving.com/page/louisa-fairman-1725353052627 collectively we raised more than £3k!
=============================================================
We are a group of fitness enthusiasts from HIT35 Bootcamp in Surbiton, and we’ve decided to take on a new challenge — walking the UK Three Peaks. On 13 September 2024, we’ll be hiking Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon. It’s going to be a demanding journey, but one we’re excited to tackle together.
At HIT35, we enjoy pushing our limits and working as a team. The Three Peaks Challenge is a great way for us to do that, taking on the highest mountains in Scotland, England, and Wales. While it will be tough, we’re looking forward to the experience and the sense of accomplishment that comes with it.
In addition to the personal challenge, we’re also using this opportunity to raise funds for 2 charities close to our hearts:
Holbrook Animal Rescue is a small family-run charity in Horsham. The work they do to care for animals (mostly dogs) in need is something we’re proud to support, and it’s a great incentive to keep us going.
And London Search and Rescue, a volunteer organization that plays a crucial role in locating and assisting vulnerable people in our community. Their team of dedicated volunteers is ready to respond at a moment’s notice, often in difficult and challenging conditions.
Our team of more than 20 includes the following trekkers, guides and drivers:
• Anna Vila Pouca
• Emily Lowe
• Anna Game
• Rich
• Del
• Chris
• Martin
• Sasha
• Nicky
• Neil
• David
• Ruth
• Donna
• Claudia Coelho
• Opi Outhwaite
• Marc
• Stefano
• Fraser
• Kathy Powers-Moore
• Louisa Fairman
Your support, whether through a donation or simply sharing our page, would mean a lot to us. It will help keep us motivated as we take on this challenge and contribute to a cause we believe in.
Thank you for being part of our journey!
