On Saturday 11th September our incredible team, known as the Highland Coos, are taking on the Macmillan Mighty Hike challenge and walking the 26-mile marathon hike along the Wye Valley to raise money for people living with cancer.

Our team include Catherine, Pam, Andrea and Amanda, our friendships were formed over 25 years ago whilst still undergraduates at university. We all love the outdoors and taking on a challenge of the Mighty Hike to raise money for Macmillan sounded perfect, if not a wee bit daunting! We want to raise as much money as we can for this amazing charity and with your help, however big or small, we will do this.

Come the 11th September hopefully all our training will have paid off and we will take on the hills remembering the dear family and friends we have loved and lost to cancer. It is going to be challenging but we’ll be thinking of those who continue to fight every single day to overcome cancer and their loved ones who support them with that fight. We’ll be celebrating for those who have fought and won and we’ll keep pushing on so that every penny raised will be there for the 1 in 2 people in the UK who will experience cancer at some time in their lives.
