The Wednesday Fans Hillsborough to Hull Walk for The Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity

Raising money for Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity

We support the thousands of patients and families at Sheffield Children’s, from across the UK and beyond, by funding the life-changing and the joy-sparking. We make clinical care kinder, and bad days brighter. We bring play, laughter and comfort to places where they’re needed the most.

Story

Thank you for visiting our JustGiving page!

We’ve set ourselves our biggest challenge yet — a 75-mile walk from Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield to the MKM Stadium in Hull… and we’ll be carrying a brick each every step of the way.

We’ll be taking on this challenge over three days (18th–20th March), finishing just in time to watch our beloved Sheffield Wednesday face Hull City on 21st March.

But this is about much more than football.

We’re raising money for The Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield, an incredible charity that changes children’s lives every single day. They fund pioneering medical treatment, life-saving equipment, and help create a comforting, child-friendly environment at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

They are also about to open a world-class research and technology centre in Sheffield — the National Centre for Child Health Technology (NCCHT). This facility will help shape the future of children’s healthcare.

Our journey links directly to this inspiring project. We’ll each take around 142,000 steps — the same number of bricks needed to build the new centre. The bricks we carry on our walk will be donated at the end and used in the construction of this amazing facility, making our challenge a small but real part of something that will help children for years to come.

If you’re able to support us, no matter how big or small, we’d be hugely grateful. Every donation helps make a difference.

Thank you for being part of our journey 💙💙💙💙
