Story
After a bunch of us Hinchingbrooke Midwives and Obstetricians took on the challenge of Scafell Pike a few of us have decided to continue our hiking journey with a charity hike!
Lou, Kaz, Michelle and Liv are hiking a half marathon through the Peak District on 20th September this year. We’re doing it to support The Children & Young People’s Cancer Association and we are hoping to hit some personal goals along the way.
Please support us to reach our collective fundraising target of £1000 with any donations you can manage. Feel free to join us on any of our training sessions: watching us undertake back to back exercise classes with Unboxed Fitness can prove to be very entertaining for you; we’re always up for people to join us in a stomp around the super flat lands of Cambridgeshire 😜 (which is obviously proving tougher to train for peaks!) or just laugh at our sweaty red faced selfies after the training sessions we are taking on. As a bunch of not far from 50 year olds, with varying levels of fitness and hiking experience before beginning this hiking journey we would really LOVE your support in this next challenge and we’d be super grateful for every penny donated.
Here is some info regarding the charity we’re raising money for:
We are CCLG: The Children & Young People’s Cancer Association, a charity dedicated to creating a brighter future for children and young people with cancer. Powered by expertise, we unite the children and young people’s cancer community, driving collective action and progress.
We fund and lead pioneering research, provide trusted information and guidance for children and young people with cancer and their families, and bring together professionals to improve treatment, care, and outcomes.
Our work is only possible thanks to the generosity of fundraisers, donors, and supporters who share our mission. Every pound raised helps fund our research, provide trusted information for families, and brings together experts to improve treatment, care and outcomes. Together, we can achieve more.
