Story

In April 2026, we will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of Frimley health charity. Thank you in advance for donating whatever you can

Jena - My running journey started with couch to 5K, before this I could barely even run to the end of the road! I got the running bug and was able to start running further distances. I then found out I was expecting a little girl who I had in February last year. It was during one of our many late night feeds that I decided to sign up for the half marathon. I’m back at work and finding time and energy in the midst of exhaustion to train. Completing this race will be a huge achievement for me. We are raising money for Frimley Health Charity - to help support our paediatric patients and their wonderful families. Thank you for your support, it means soo much personally and to our charity/families.

Helen - Anyone who knows me will know I’m not a natural runner!! I started Couch to 5k in April 2024, before that I barely exercised… I am so proud of myself for completing Couch to 5k and not giving up!! Setting targets and entering events such as this has kept me going. We are raising money for the Frimley Park Children’s Ward where we all work, in particular I would like to put it towards the Paediatric Oncology Fund and the children and families dealing with a cancer diagnosis I help to support.

13 miles will be the furthest I’ve run so I’d be so grateful for any support you can give. The short term pain I go through will be worth it to help bring a smile to the families going through months or years of cancer treatment!!

Caroline - My running journey beyond 5km started in 2023 when I got a ballot space in the London marathon! I really enjoy running now and love the positive impact it has on me. I don’t find it easy, but the sense of achievement after a run is so worth it! Frimley holds a special place in my heart. My two girls were born there. My Mum worked there, myself and my brother now both work for the trust, and they have looked after both of my parents through cancer treatment and multiple joint replacements. I have the honour to work with some incredible children as a paediatric nurse at Frimley who fight so hard everyday through cancer treatments and various complex needs. I would love to raise money to support these children and their families that spend a huge amount of their lives in hospital. They are an absolute inspiration to me!

Any donations so gratefully received 🩷
