Story
Hoddesdon Round Table are riding a 6 man bike (6 men in a line!) from Hoddesdon to Norwich over the weekend of 20-21 September.
We have chosen to do this ride in support of The Brain Tumour Charity because our friend and Hoddesdon Round Table member Paul has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. He has been fighting this over the last 4 years and we wanted to support a charity for him.
Pauls story:
'In March 2021, life changed overnight. We were in lockdown, I had a four-month-old daughter and had been married just two years — then I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Since then, life hasn’t gone as planned. But through every biopsy, round of chemo and radiotherapy, I’ve found a strength I didn’t know I had. I keep going for my daughter, now four, whose smile gives me purpose. For my amazing wife, who keeps us together. For my family and friends, and because every day is worth fighting for'
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.
Please help us support this amazing charity and give generously.
