Story
We’re taking on 56 miles this February for Mind – and every step is for someone who feels they’ve run out of options.
We’re both Mental Health Nurses with lived experience, and really care about this cause. Holly works in a psychiatric intensive care unit, supporting people in the most acute stages of their mental health illness towards recovery. Erin works on a drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit, supporting people who struggle with substance misuse to build new coping mechanisms.
Whether it’s from personal experience or someone you know, mental health struggles touch almost all of us in one way or another.
Mental health problems are widespread, yet so many people still face them alone. When someone is in crisis, having just one person to talk to — someone who listens without judgement — can make a life-changing difference. That support can be the first step towards hope.
By running these miles together, we’re raising funds for Mind so they can continue providing vital support, information, and a safe space for people who need it most. Every mile represents a conversation, a lifeline, and a reminder that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
Thank you for supporting us, and for helping Mind be there for anyone who needs someone to listen. 💙🏃♂️🏃♀️
