Did you know that the shocking reality is that each day, despite of medical advances, in the UK alone, there are 11 babies who are stillborn and six who die within the first 28 days of life? Well... I didn't until this happened to me and I had to say goodbye to my precious little girl, my Hope. 💙

I found this out while I read one of their amazing booklets "When a baby dies before labour begins" . Why do I say amazing? Because without it I really didn't know what to do, think, or what is actually happening... I needed some answers, I didn't know what to expect and despite knowing about my pregnancy complications and preparing for all possible outcomes I was hoping for the best and happy I have reached 27weeks. I was still in shock when I found out my baby's heart has stopped...

This was just the beginning of my journey. I got appointed to the hospital to deliver my baby. I never thought this could happen to me, or is even happening to anyone at all... But suddenly I was there in this situation and I had to somehow deal with it. I got into hospital after a day spent with my family preparing mentally for what was there to come. I was given my own room separated from the rest, so I could not hear any other newborn babies or anything like it. It was beautifully designed and felt very homy, with a lovely forget me not wallpaper on the walls. I found out this was all funded by SANDS charity to make sure we feel comfort and support in those toughest of moments. They have also funded a gift of Memory Box which we would never thought of ourselves in this unexpected circumstances. This made is so much easier for us to create and keep those beautiful memories of Hope and to find a bit of comfort in this for the future. 👣

I want to do this walk as a thank you for those who supported me and to help them support more families in need. I want to also do this for Hope and other little angel's in their memory so they never be forgotten. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

Please help me get moving this June! I aim to walk 100 km and raise some money in support of families who've lost a baby like we did.

Together we want to ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. We want to campaign for change and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the pain of losing a baby. Every step I take will help ensure no one faces the loss of a baby alone. Together we can continue to do all that we can to stop families from experiencing this devastating tragedy.
