Raising money for Oxford Hospitals Charity, Sarcoma UK, Young Lives vs Cancer and Teenage Cancer Trust

Story

In April 2024 Toby injured his knee playing rugby for Hungerford RFC. We were unable to find the cause so Toby was referred on.

The injury turned out to be an Osteosarcoma affecting the Tibia. Since then he has had intense course of Chemotherapy during the Autumn of 2024. And in November had an operation to remove the cancer and to reconstruct the bones in his leg. He is now undergoing further Chemotherapy and will be undergoing a lengthy period of rehabilitation.

Toby has received lots of support from Teenage Cancer Trust, Sarcoma UK, Young Lives vs Cancer and the Oncology Ward at the Churchill Hospital.

The club that Toby plays for celebrates their 40th anniversary this year and as a whole the club wants to thank all those that have helped Toby. We are calling this the 40/40/40 challenge, and as such 40 people are walking 40 miles from Hungerford to Bath RFC (Actually more), on the clubs 40th anniversary to raise £40k.
