Raising money for Sense
In memory of Hugo Reece

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Sense is here to support disabled people from the first weeks of life through all the major milestones of adulthood. Over 70 years, we’ve built extensive knowledge and expertise in supporting disabled people with complex needs, including deafblind people.

Story

On the 4th of November 2024, my beautiful boy Hugo died.

No parent expects to outlive their child, it isn’t the right order. It has left a loss so great and profound words can’t justify what I feel.

Grief is overwhelming and even now, just over a year later I don’t understand it.

I don’t have my Hugo - But I do have so many happy memories which I treasure.

Hugo was the happiest boy who ever lived, his joy, attitude and determination made him an absolute legend. His ability to not care about anything other than what he wanted was a unique part of his personality.

He had a happy nature and zest for life which totally changed the perception of what being disabled meant, his impairments were simply swept aside and he lived a life more content and happy than most of us could ever dream

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️London Marathon 2026 here we go…..🦀🌈

Steve and I are running together because he’s stupid enough to have agreed to do it with me.

We are raising money together again and we have chosen to help support Samuel Pepys School in St Neots 🌈

The School that Hugo loved more than life itself 🌈 and so many other children like him.

We also want to raise money for Sense charity because of what they’ve done for Hugo

All donations for this year’s London marathon will be divided between these two.

♥️

Lastly, just to make my challenge even harder than I needed to be - I’m going big!

Last year we raised a combined amount of £8200….. which was awesome.

So let's do this again and let's go bigger
