In January 2025, Hugo was rushed to the hospital, and it was later discovered that Hugo had contracted Meningitis B, which led to sepsis. A wonderful team of doctors and nurses saved Hugo's life. Thankfully, Hugo avoided death, but is now completely deaf in both ears.

As someone who has battled Meningitis and was fortunate enough to retain all their limbs, and therefore the ability to run the London Marathon, alongside the wonderful and supportive Liv. Hugo and Liv want to help the Meningitis Research Foundation achieve its goal of a world free from meningitis by using my story to help raise funds.
