Welcome to our page! We are 4 students studying at the University of Hull and working with RAG (Raising and Giving) to earn as much money as we can for the Mental Health Charity Mind. For Mind, in the August of 2020, we will spend 15 days ascending through the Himalayas until we reach Everest Base Camp. This will be a long and difficult journey for us, but not as long and difficult as some of the journeys people with mental health problems have to go through every day and these problems are a lot more common than people think.

Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and in England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week. As well, in the UK, 6 in every 100 people will experience Generalised Anxiety Disorder, 3 in every 100 will experience Depression and 20 in every 100 people will think suicidal thoughts with 6 in those 100 attempting suicide. These are scary statistics, but there is a way you can help.

Donating to Mind means that your money will go into getting the people who need it assistance. With Mind offering an Info line which offers callers confidential help for the price of a local call, a Legal Line which provides information on mental health related law to the public, service users, family members/carers, mental health professionals and mental health advocates, and award winning publications avaliable for supporting you and those who need help, these are just some of the things Mind offers for assistance. As well as having around 130 local Mind branches to offer individual and community support around England and Wales. There is a lot that Mind do, but to continue having this great charity working in incredible ways then any small donation to them from you would mean the world to us.
