Rosa Cembrowicz & Alice Wynne swim 10k for Level Water

Raising money for Level Water

Hurly Burly 2024 · 21 September 2024 ·

Set in North Wales on the edge of Snowdonia, this is one of the most beautifully wild swims you’ll find. It starts on the sandy beach of Barmouth and takes place on a fast incoming tide that works like a bore to assist your swim.

Story

Cousins Rosa Cembrowicz and Alice Wynne are swimming 10km in an estuary in Snowdonia, Wales, with a tidal bore for assistance. It's going to be wild!

Whilst doing this, we are raising money to enable children with disabilities to enjoy the water too. The charity Level Water uses the power of swimming to improve the lives of 25,000 children with disabilities all over the UK.

In 2019 we tackled the 6.5km cross-continental Bosphorus swim from Europe to Asia, and now we are aiming for even further albeit without leaving Wales! Open water swimming in memory of our brother and cousin Felix brings us joy and comfort, and we believe everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim.

Just £15 can provide a one-to-one lesson for one child. A million thanks for supporting Level Water by donating.
