Two Years ago I lost my Dad who was suffering with many health challenges including dementia. In the end he did not know who I was, where he was or why he was in the hospital. A pretty powerless situation.

I watched Hayley Wickenheiser's (hockey) IG online presentation where obstacles were treated as a new challenge to overcome. As well I joined Jann Arden's IG online presentation where she discussed her mother's Alzheimers and was moved to action. Last year was the first time I participated in the Alzheimers Walk. As notice came out for this year, I wanted to do more. My theme is having something good come out of something bad.

If a vaccine can be created in 9 months, I believe we can also work together to solve other world problems. The result I can't control (if people donate, or participate or a cure is found) but giving my best is within my control. Thank you for your support (joining the team, sponsoring or wishing us well).
