Imogen and Jamie fundraising for Grief Encounter by running London landmarks half marathon.

Raising money for Grief Encounter
In memory of My Dad, Gary Pugh

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

We are aiming to raise £30,000, to fund a 10-week specialised and structured programme of group therapy for bereaved children and their families.

Story

On the 6th of April 2025, marks the 17th year anniversary of losing dad. In memory of dad, Jamie and I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on that day.

I’ve picked to run for grief encounter because the funds support bereaved children, young people and their families so that they can find hope and healing. I know how important having a charity like this available to children.

I would really appreciate any kind donations to our page so we all can help make a big difference.

This is what your donations could fund:

£10 could fund a specialist bereavement storybook for a child, using stories to help younger children understand feelings of grief

£20 could fund a Good Grief workbook for a bereaved child or young person, giving them a structured way to understand and process their grief

£100 could fund a 1:1 session offering direct therapeutic help from a qualified counsellor
