Raising money for Invictus Games Foundation

Through sport and adventurous challenge we inspire, improve and influence the recovery and rehabilitation of wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

Story

Huw Morgan and Nick Ralston are Marines and now they are colleagues at Google. Huw is a Former British Royal Marine Commando officer and Nick is a former US Marine Corps officer. Together, they are running a marathon (by jogging ‘on the spot’) at their homes to raise funds for the Invictus Games Foundation.

“Keep Calm and Carry On” can feel like a tall order during a pandemic. There is a sense of restriction and nothing helps relieve that feeling better than taking control of something and becoming productive. In this case, they don’t just want to be productive, they want to give back and help in a fun way that is also a bit of a distraction from the groundhog day routine that has settled in.

The Invictus Games use the power of sport to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for wounded, injured and sick Servicemen and women.
