I don’t usually share things like this, however this means everything to me.

I'm doing a charity walk for dementia, for my beautiful mum. However it’s not just me doing this 26 mile walk…….I’m doing this with my husband and our amazing friends, Kieran and Emma, who have encouraged and spurred me on to do this together……hopefully some more of my nearest and dearest will join us and help make a huge difference.

Seeing someone you love slowly fade, losing memories, moments, and pieces of who they are... it's something I wouldn't wish on anyone. Even though my mum is still alive I feel I’ve lost her, it’s truly heartbreaking. Dementia doesn't just affect one person - it changes entire families lives forever.

We are walking for my mum, Jackie, for the memories we’ve shared, and for the ones we're still holding onto. We are walking for every family going through this heartbreak, and for a future where no one has to.
