J and K Fundraising for MND

Raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association

Motor Neurone Disease moves fast. It takes away time, it takes away independence and it has no cure. Every day we support people affected by MND. We fund ground-breaking research. We campaign for better care. We’re here for everyone who needs us. Because with MND, every day matters.

Story

Our team is made up of Jeanette (J) & Katie (K).

Our fundraising started in 2020 by running 1000km in the year. In 2021 we are determined to carry on, we started taking part in the 7in7 Challenge, from 28th Feb for 7 consecutive days we ran 7km. And on Saturday 4th September we will be walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks.

We're raising money for MND association in memory of Jeanettes Mum Jennifer who lost her battle with MND in 2019. We have also been inspired to carry on after seeing how the disease has affected former Rugby league player Rob Burrow, as a long time Rugby (Bradford Bulls) fan Katie has seen Burrow play many a time (albeit for the opposition) but seeing the way he has been affected at such a young age has really touched us and we would love nothing more than to see a cure be found for this awful condition so that in the future there may be hope that other families will not have to go through the same ordeal.
