Raising money for DEBRA and Mid and North East Essex Mind

Story

The Jammers Fans Association was launched in 2021 and prides its self on fan engagement and experiences, promote inclusivity amongst the football, whilst growing the reputation of the club in the local community.

Since it's formation, the JFA has organised a number of events which have benefited the community, such as Easter Egg and Foodbank collections.

Now, in an effort to give something further back to the community, the members of the JFA are turning their hand to a 12 MILE charity walk in aid of two charties close to both the local area and Maldon & Tiptree Football Club in the shape of Mid and North East Essex Mind and DEBRA.

The walk will take place on Saturday 12 April 2025 and will get underway from the Jam Factory in Tiptree, lasting for approximately 12 miles.

DEBRA is a national charity and patient support group for people living with the rare, extremely painful, genetic skin blistering condition, Epidermolysis Bollosa (EB) known as Butterfly Skin, which the late, Darren Gibbons suffered from. Dazza, as he was known to many at the football sadly passed away in November 2022 in a tragic accident.

Mid & North East Essex MIND are affiliated to the National Mind charity however we are financially independent and every penny raised for SECE Mind goes back into the local community.

If you would like to take part in the walk, please contact the JFA via email on contact@thejammersfa.co.uk.
