On Friday 23rd August 2024, JMW employees will be joining a team of determined trekkers taking on the formidable Great Outdoor Challenge, fundraising for Manchester's own Charity, We Love Mcr. The team comprises of Charlotte King, Maddy Langmead, Kat Ferrari, Katie Ledwith and Naomi Farley.

The challenge will involve completing a physically demanding 10km hike, followed by a 6km paddle across Lake Windermere. It's going to be a tough one!

We Love Mcr is one of JMW's charities of the year! We are raising funds for We Love MCR Charity's vital work to empower positive change for communities and young people across the city of Manchester. They want to address inequality, invest in positive futures and see the people of Manchester flourish. They do this by:

- empowering community groups and projects to improve lives of people in their neighbourhoods with the Stronger Communities Fund.

- changing the lives of ambitious young Mancunians, who can't rely on "the Bank of Mum and Dad", through their unique Manchester's Rising Stars Fund.

- being ready when Manchester needs it most, like during the Covid-19 crisis when they distributed £1million to 300+ groups on the frontline of the crisis, including foodbanks + domestic violence shelters
