Raising money for PASIC - Cancer support for children and young people

Tough Mudder Midlands 2025 · 5 July 2025 to 6 July 2025 ·

PASIC provide emotional, practical, social support for families of children and young people with cancer in the East Midlands. We fund support workers at Nottingham Children’s Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary. PASIC offer a listening ear, advice, grants for families and fun family activities.

Story

Last year 14 colleagues from Specsavers challenged themselves to complete the 5 mile Tough Mudder in order to raise money towards buying a PBM machine for the Nottingham City Hospital to support patients going through cancer treatment in memory of our colleague’s late wife.

To continue this great work and commitment of supporting our local community which is something we are all so passionate about here at Specsavers, we will be going bigger this year with 30 people doing the 10 mile Tough Mudder, with the aim of raising £10k!!

This year we will be supporting another fantastic cause which is PASIC, this is an organisation that unfortunately doesn’t get any government support yet is so critical for families when they need it most. PASIC provides emotional, practical and financial support to children and young people with cancer. So dig deep in those pockets and lets make a real difference.
