I'm climbing Snowden with my younger daughter to raise funds for two charities:

1. Bedford Area Schools Christian Support Trust (known locally as Impact) which presents the Christian faith to children and young people in schools in Bedford and area. I have been a trustee since the charity started in 1990. An Impact donor will match all donations up to £4000.

2. Tibbs Dementure Foundation which does great work in Bedfordshire helping sufferers of this awful condition and also their carers.

When I was 70, we had a family holiday in North Wales and my son and younger daughter and I climbed Snowden. I said then that if I was granted good health at 80, I would do it again!
