Smithy and Robbo fundraising for Pardada Pardadi UK

Raising money for Pardada Pardadi UK

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 · 6 April 2025 ·

Break the cycle of generational poverty in rural India by empowering girls through education, healthcare, economic independence, and community development. We believe that empowering 50% of the population—women and girls—creates a ripple effect that drives broader societal transformation.

Story

We are running the London Landmark Half Marathon this year to raise funds for Pardada Pardadi Educational Society (PPES).

With just ten weeks before race day, Katherine received an email from this amazing organisation she’s supported for many years. Emma said if they had two spaces left it would be fate and we’d have to do it, so here we are…! Neither of us have ever run this distance before and would love your support.

More importantly, PPES needs your support. Their model of empowering girls in rural India through free education, meals, and healthcare is really inspiring - and really working!

For many girls in these communities, education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and achieving independence. PPES currently supports over 3,500 girls across 138 villages, giving them the tools they need to thrive and lead their communities.

Your donation will help fund essential resources like scholarships, school supplies, transport, and daily meals – all of which make it possible for these young girls to stay in school and succeed. By sponsoring me, you’re directly contributing to building brighter futures and changing lives in ways that will have a lasting impact for generations.

When we invest in girls’ education, we empower entire communities. I’m incredibly proud to represent PPES in this race, and I’d love your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal. Every pound counts, and even the smallest contribution will help open doors of opportunity for these girls.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement – it means the world to us and to the girls whose lives we’re impacting.
