💜 It’s that time of year again when team #katrinasmile support our local Pontypool Relay For Life on the 6th July 2024. 💜

We lost Katrina my wife January 2021 to a short courageous battle to Cancer. During her illness Katrina raised over £15,000 in 9 months by walking a mile a day on crutches. During her treatment and hospital admissions her friends and family continued her miles, hence the team name #katrinasmiles and not SMILES although she did have an amazing smile 🤍🫶

Our aim is to walk continuous laps of Pontypool Park 🏞️over 24hours. As many little, long, young, old legs would be much appreciated to support this event.

Last year we had a small but fantastic team. I completed 37 miles around the park. This year I’m a year older and could do with support to grow our team. This will give us an opportunity to broaden our fundraising.

You will not be disappointed, lots of fancy dress laps, amazing singers, bands, radio, silent disco through the night, music, food stalls and mostly amazing people supported also by our survivors 💜 I promise you there will be tears through the day. Some sad, some happy, some hopeful and some through memories. 🤍
