Palliative care is chronically underfunded in the UK relying on voluntary donations where NHS funding only covers 24% of costs. Last year nearly 400 hospice beds in England were cut due to lack of money.

Kirsty’s Mum died in a Marie Curie hospice and the care that she received was nothing short of exceptional. The genuine kindness, care and compassion that she and her family received was incomparable.

There is such a thing as a dignified death and we would like everyone to have access to hospice care when the time arrives (which it will for everyone at some point!).
