Story
A love of the walking the coast, a long held bucket list dream and a rare chance to to take a sabbatical from running a busy business, have together culminated in this challenge. I am walking the entirety of the South West Coast Path, alone, over 56 days and nights in September and October. I aim to complete all 630 miles in 8 weeks, in doing so climbing 4 times the height of Everest! The route starts in Minehead in Somerset and ends in Poole, Dorset, taking in North and South Devon and Cornwall along the way. It is a gruelling route, and I'll be walking around seven to eight hours a day with only 4 rest days over 2 months. I have early stage arthritis so this is going to be one heck of a challenge for me both physically and mentally!
I am funding the whole challenge myself and all of your donation will go to one of the three charities, the RNLI, the YHA and the SWCP Association. Please select which charity you wish to donate to by clicking one of the three icons below! I am hoping to keep the amounts raised roughly equal!
I will be staying in a variety of accommodation along the route, and for every night donated, I am contributing personally to the charity pot. By donating, you will be raising money and awareness of the fabulous work these coastal charities do. Thank you so much.
