Story
This October marks 10 years since we lost our amazing Mumma Bear, and to honour her memory, Alex & I have decided to walk 100 miles throughout October.
A little challenge to remember her, raise some money for an incredible cause… and, let’s be honest, get our steps up!
Anyone who knew Mum will know just how passionately she advocated for ovarian cancer awareness. She would have absolutely loved what we’re doing, and we know she’d be right there cheering us on (probably telling us to walk a bit faster! 😂).
Every penny we raise will go towards funding scientists working to discover new and more effective treatments and developing the world’s first preventative ovarian cancer vaccine.
So, if you can, please donate whatever you can every little bit really does make a difference.
And PLEASE, PLEASE come and join us on some of our walks! The more the merrier, and having some company will definitely make those 100 miles a little easier! 🥰
From October, I’ll be a Strava w*nker and will keep you all updated with our progress, our miles and probably plenty of moaning along the way!
Thank you so much for your support. It means more than you know. ❤️
Lots of love,
Fran & Alex xx
Ovarian cancer has the lowest survival rate of all gynaecological cancers, yet more than half of women are diagnosed at an advanced stage when treatment options are limited.
But together, we can change that.
By supporting my challenge, you'll help fund research that gives women the best chance of survival. From earlier diagnosis to better treatments, every step brings us closer to a future where no woman dies of ovarian cancer.
Thank you so much for your support, and for helping bring hope to everyone affected by ovarian cancer.
