Team fundraising for The King's Trust

Raising money for The King's Trust

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

A proud group of North East Delivery Partners have joined forces to pass a relay baton around the region to celebrate and commemorate the King's Trust's 50th Anniversary year!

The Education Training Collective, East Durham and Houghall College, Derwentside College, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue, Newcastle United Foundation and Northumberland Fire and Rescue all delivery the King's Trust Team programme across the North East region. Starting off from Redcar on Monday 22nd June the staff and young people from across each delivery location will pass the baton between towns and landmarks traveling on foot, by bike and many other ways too!

The giant relay will end on Friday 26th June at the King's Trust centre in Newcastle! Along the way we aim to raise awareness of the work of the Trust and raise funds for the King's Trust to help and support more young people.

The King’s Trust believes that every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter what their background or the challenges they are facing. We help those from disadvantaged communities and those facing the greatest adversity by supporting them to build the confidence and skills to live, learn and earn.

- £10 could fund a call to our helpline, enabling a vulnerable young person gain the critical advice they need

- £40 could provide a young person in poverty with interview clothes to help them secure stable employment
