On the weekend of 8th March 2026 we will be running the distance of a Marathon alongside Olly in the Lancashire Leg of Marathon for Miracles a challenge Olly has set himself which involves running 39 Marathons in 39 Days.

Olly's story:

As my wife and I embarked on our pregnancy journey in 2022, we were blissfully unaware of the very real possibility of miscarriage. Until, in late August, the unthinkable happened. Since then, we have seen and heard of those who have had similar, devastating experiences.

This is an issue which is so common, and yet so rarely spoken about... until it's too late.

So, I plan to talk about it. I will be running 39 marathons over 39 consecutive weeks, throughout 2026. I will run in each of the 39 historic counties of England, with more than 39 different people, all with a story to share.

Alongside the running, we will be sharing the stories of the people who join us, raising awareness and lifting the taboo around all things miscarriage, baby loss and infertility.

Not only do I hope to raise funds to help Tommy's with their incredible work to both prevent and support those experiencing baby loss. I also hope to raise awareness of the struggles that couples can face, how common these struggles are and the unbelievable support which is available in the hardest of times.

Tommy’s exist to stop the heartbreak and devastation of baby loss and to make pregnancy and birth safer - for everyone.

Tommy's is dedicated to finding causes and treatments as well as providing trusted pregnancy and baby loss information and support.

As Many of our runners taking part in the Lancashire Leg of Marathons for Miracles have found this challenge and each other through The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation we are also raising funds for TWGGEF. Anyone taking part in this leg of Marathons for Miracles has selected to either raise funds for Tommy's or TWGGEF or both.

As members of The Worst Girl Gang Ever Foundation we want to live in a world where the experiences of miscarriage, baby loss and infertility are understood and support is accessible and widely available. We support the emotional and physical wellbeing of those with these experiences. We welcome you, with heavy hearts and open arms. Through this fundraising initiative we hope to be able to support the foundation to continue to deliver the support and resources it has to offer for free to everyone who needs them and continue to spread awareness so that this support reaches everyone who needs it.
