Piran Network fundraising for LARF Cornwall

Raising money for LARF Cornwall

It is our aim to raise funds to assist in the treatment and care of teenagers and young people under the age of 24, within Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly, primarily for those undergoing and having had cancer and leukaemia treatment.

Story

On the 4th & 5th of October 2025, a small team of us are taking on a charity walk from Marazion to Truro to raise funds for an incredible local charity: LARF (Lauren and Rosie’s Fund). This is a 30 mile walk from Rosie’s home town to Lauren’s.

LARF was founded in memory of two extraordinary teenagers, Lauren and Rosie, whose friendship blossomed during their shared experiences of cancer treatment. Despite unimaginable challenges, their bond brought strength, laughter, and comfort not just to each other, but to their families and everyone who met them. Tragically, both girls passed away as teenagers, but their legacy lives on through LARF – a charity set up by their mums to support teenagers undergoing cancer treatment.

The charity helps provide:

Comfort and support for young patients at Treliske

Vital resources and emotional care for families

A sense of dignity, normalcy, and even joy, during the hardest of times
