A year ago, my husband Kevin underwent a double heart bypass operation at the Bristol Heart Institute. The care he received from the staff was exceptional, they all went above and beyond every day to look after their patients.

I am very glad to say that a year on he feels fully recovered and better than he has felt for some time. So, in May 2026 we would like to give something back by taking on a cycling challenge in aid of two amazing charities!

Our journey will take us over 1,300 km down the west coast of France on La Vélodyssee, from Roscoff to Hendaye. We estimate it will take us about 6 weeks to complete. We will be carrying everything we need on our trusty Dawes touring bikes, which have done many miles with us around the UK and France, most of those over 30 years ago! We will be updating our training progress and sharing our journey so please do follow along!
