The RoadPeace Challenge: a collaboration between RoadPeace, the national charity for crash victims, police forces & emergency services with the aim to reduce road danger, save lives & raise £1,000 000 to fund vital support services for crash victims

Story

The Warwickshire Road Safety Partnership are supporting the RoadPeace week of action in May to remember all those killed and seriously injured on our roads.

This year Roadpeace are calling on supporters to collectively walk, run or cycle 1,766 miles to represent the numbers killed in road traffic collisions in 2022.

We are supporting this by encouraging all to join us on Friday 19th May 2024, between 10am – 3pm at Hartshill Hayes Country Park, Oldbury Road, Hartshill, Nuneaton, CV10 0TE, for a series of walks around the park.

The choice of location is particularly poignant as this is where the partnership's permanent memorial to road traffic victims was unveiled last July, and the walks will start and end at the memorial site.

There will be a guided walk at 1pm. The walks are 1 to 3 miles. You may walk any distance you feel comfortable with.

All are welcome take part in this event to help us reach the target of 1,766 miles and show your support to victims and families effected by road traffic collisions.

Alternatively, if you would prefer to run or cycle with your route starting or finishing at Hartshill Hayes Country Park.
