**LEGENDS GAME and St Helens' Independent Christmas Markets**

**SUNDAY 7th DECEMBER - RUSKIN, ST HELENS**

On December 7th, The Steve Prescott Foundation and Mickey Higham Fund will join forces to host a festive family fun day, featuring a Rugby League Legends Game alongside the annual Christmas Markets, complete with family entertainment and the opportunity to enjoy a glass or two of mulled wine.

Ruskin Sports Village will once again serve as the perfect venue, showcasing market stalls both inside and outside, along with a Santa’s Grotto that promises festive fun for all ages.

The Steve Prescott Foundation (SPF) is thrilled to organise this event with Mickey Higham Fund. Mickey, who has participated in the legends game in the past, is currently undergoing treatment at The Christie for melanoma, a battle he has been courageously facing for the last three years.

Martin Blondel from the SPF expressed, “The rugby league family comes together when one of our own faces a setback. We were all devastated to hear about Mickey’s illness. He has confronted cancer with the same positive mental attitude that Steve Prescott embodied. We are grateful for the pioneering work being done by our beneficiaries at The Christie and know that Mickey is in the best possible hands. We anticipate another fantastic day, welcoming some of the greatest past players to support the SPF and Mickey’s cause!”

Mickey Higham shared, “I have received phenomenal support from everyone during my fight against melanoma, which has truly inspired me and helped me through difficult times. I draw strength from Steve Prescott MBE’s journey and his motto: ‘What the mind believes, the body achieves!’ This gives me the resilience to take on melanoma. I cannot thank everyone enough for their incredible generosity towards my family; it is genuinely heartwarming. I’m really looking forward to the Christmas Markets and Legends Game. Having participated before, I know it will be a great day, and I want to thank the SPF for supporting my cause.”

There are 10 ex players in each team and we are looking for a sponsor for every player for a donation of £100 each. In return the sponsor will receive a signed shirt, and have a logo in the programme.

Indoor and Outdoor Stalls are provided with cover in case of inclement weather. Guaranteed amazing footfall with an opportunity to sell or promote your goods.

Play in the Game

Individual Sponsorship

There are 20 places to play alongside the Legends of Rugby League - Minimum Age 14 by 8th December. The players who step forward will be allocated their team on the day.

The individual will be given guidance on how to set up a JustGiving page and must raise a minimum of £150. In return they will receive their match worn shirt signed by all ex players. They will also be fed along with the players after the game.

The game will be Masters Rules
