Pamela has been a trustee for the Marie Trust for 2 years. Although this is a small charity, the work the team do is absolutely amazing and inspiring. But funding the work they do is a huge challenge and we’ve signed up to take part in this challenge in to highlight their efforts and hopefully help raise some much needed funding.

The work the Marie Trust do has a huge impact on the homeless and vulnerable across Glasgow and they really need our support to be able to keep delivering these services.

From a training kitchen, where Eilidh the head chef has trained former service users who were homeless, which produces healthy meals for up to90 people per day. Those who visit the cafe can then access the intervention services, including counselling.

There is also digital literacy and educational courses run at the centre, in conjunction with colleges in Glasgow.

Let’s also call out the hospital outreach service, a totally unique service which has in its first 12 months seen a huge impact in getting service users into a more stable environment and stops them presenting at A and E.
