Raising money for Cure Parkinson’s

Cure Parkinson's April Dog Walking Challenge 2026 · 1 April 2026 to 15 May 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

Our April Dog Walking Challenge encourages supporters to get outside and enjoy the spring sunshine to walk 100km with their dog throughout the month while raising awareness for our ground-breaking research into a cure for Parkinson's.

Story

This April we’re taking on a 100km walking challenge for Cure Parkinson’s. 🐾

We’ll be doing it with our dogs — Ivy, our energetic 2-year-old border collie (who’d happily do 100km in one go!) and Daisy, our 14-year-old cocker spaniel (who might need a bit more encouragement!).

Parkinson’s affects millions of people and there is still no cure. A close family member of ours was diagnosed in her 50s, showing that it can affect people earlier than many realise. While medication can help with symptoms, the condition sadly worsens over time.

Many people associate Parkinson’s with tremors, but it also causes symptoms like insomnia, depression, anxiety, memory loss, speech problems and more. Every person’s journey is different.

We’ll be walking through whatever April brings — sunshine, rain or snow — to raise awareness and support research.

If you’d like to support us, please consider donating or sharing this post. Every little bit helps bring us closer to a cure. 💙
