I’m Valérie Orsoni, and I’ve decided to take part in The Rainforest Run because protecting the rainforest isn’t just a cause — it’s a fight for our survival, and for the survival of every incredible species that calls it home.

The rainforest is disappearing before our eyes. If we don’t act now, it may soon be too late. Climate change and biodiversity loss are accelerating at a catastrophic pace, and rainforests are one of our most powerful allies in the battle against rising global temperatures.

By preserving the rainforest and its fragile ecosystems, we’re not only safeguarding species like the Bornean orangutan, but also protecting our own future. These forests are the lungs of our planet — without them, life as we know it cannot continue.
