Adele, Katie and Paul’s Great North Run for Alzheimer’s Research UK and The Samaritans

We’re Adele, Katie and Paul. This year we’re taking on the Great North Run together to raise money for two charities very close to our hearts: Alzheimer’s Research UK and The Samaritans.

We, Adele & Katie have both experienced the heartache of seeing a parent live with dementia. It’s a journey that’s tested us in so many ways—but it’s also brought us closer as friends. Supporting each other through the highs and lows has made us realise how important connection, understanding, and community truly are.

We’re incredibly lucky to have a strong support network around us—but we also know what it’s like to need someone to talk to when it feels like no one understands. The Samaritans have been there for us in the past, and we want to help ensure that others can reach out for that same lifeline when they need it most.

By running this race, we’re hoping to raise as much as we can for both of these amazing charities. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will go toward vital research and life-saving support.
