Story
We’re four friends – two sets of brothers – taking on the London Marathon in 2026 to raise money for the National Autistic Society.
Andy & Mark Griffiths
Tom & Chris Bates
Our target is £5000, and every penny will go towards supporting autistic people and their families across the UK.
Why this cause matters to us
We’ve been friends since nursery school in Aberystwyth, over 40 years ago.
Back in 2016, the four of us ran the Dublin Marathon. Now, ten years on, we’re reuniting for London.
For Andy, this is especially close to home. His son, Alby, is autistic, and the National Autistic Society gave invaluable support when he was first diagnosed. Their advice, resources, and understanding made a huge difference – and we want to help make sure more families can access that same support.
How you can help
Training for a marathon is tough, but raising vital funds is even tougher – and that’s where we need your help.
• £10 could help provide information to a parent worried about their child’s development.
• £25 could support advice lines for autistic people and their families.
• £50 could help campaign for better services and understanding across the UK.
No matter the size, your donation will directly help the National Autistic Society continue their amazing work.
Join us on this journey
We’ll be training hard, sharing updates, and counting down the miles until race day in April 2026. Please support us if you can – donate, share our page, and help spread awareness.
Together, we can make a difference for autistic people and their families.
