Lucy’s family are taking on a series of events in her memory, following her passing in March 2025 after a short battle with cancer. They are raising money for LOROS Hospice, who gave Lucy exceptional care and comfort in her final weeks.

Lucy’s sisters and nieces: Jenny, Trudy, Jessica, and Olivia will be taking part in the Twilight 10k Walk from King Power Stadium in July. Her brother-in-law Pete will be cycling the Leicestershire 100-mile round route in September, and in October, Olivia and her partner will be running the Run Leicester Half Marathon.

LOROS is a Leicestershire-based hospice that cares for more than 2,500 patients and their families across Leicester and Rutland each year. Their vital, free-of-charge services include pain management, end-of-life care, counselling, and respite for families during some of life’s most difficult moments. To continue their invaluable work, LOROS relies entirely on fundraising and donations, needing over £8 million annually to operate.

Every contribution, no matter the size, helps ensure they can keep providing compassionate care to patients and their loved ones. My family will always be grateful for the support they gave us, and I know many other families feel the same.
