Story
Introducing the Mad Moorhens, aka Celia Wheeler, Helen Everett, Izzy Criddle, Debbie Crook, Kirsty Bouchard, Katie Kelly, and Linda Francke.
We are swimming around Lake32 for 24 hours - yes, even through the night! It is basically a relay, with each of us swimming a few one hour stints throughout the 24 hours.
Whilst doing this we are raising money so children with disabilities can enjoy the water as much as we do. We are a group of ladies who have come together via our love of open water swimming, to raise money for this amazing cause. Swimming is not just a survival skill, it helps fitness and strength, and reduces anxiety and depression, so children with disabilities can benefit hugely by being taught and enabled to enjoy the water.
Just £15 can help change a life. Please support us in this epic challenge by donating.
Level Water use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities. Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water.
