Story

The 16th Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival takes place on Saturday 10 September 2022 on the River Cam at Fen Ditton and we, Endomagnetics Ltd aka The MagTeam Pirates will be there to show everyone how it's done and more importantly, to help raise support for Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT).

Up to 10 people paddle each boat with a drummer at the front beating time and our helm at the tail steering a straight course.

ACT is the dedicated charity supporting Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals. Thanks to the immensely generous support of donors, Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals can provide a level of patient care beyond that which can be delivered by NHS funding alone and make projects happen sooner or to a greater degree than might have otherwise been possible. Charitable donations fund high-tech equipment, specialist staff, extra comforts and vital research to find potential cures and help save lives locally, nationally and worldwide.

Every year, on average 1 million people visit the hospitals, with 18,000+ transport movements on and off the campus, daily. Addenbrooke’s has been treating and caring for patients, every day, since its foundations were laid in 1766. ACT's mission is to make things even better to keep innovation, advances in technology and excellence flowing through Addenbrooke’s veins.

Thanks in advance for your donations and please do feel free to come by for a fun day out and to support our cause!
