Mark was in the best shape of his life ever. Unfortunately, that did not stop a brain aneurysm inflicting devastating damage to him on Weds 7th October 2020.

He was taken straight to Bristol Southmead Hospital and transferred to Intensive Care where he remained. for 10 days. He was cared for initially by Neurosurgeon Mr Barua, then by an exceptional ICU team led by Dr Ian Thomas. Mama 'the hug' Kirsty, Pippa, Claire, Helen, Kayleigh, Lilly, Dom, Daisy, Olivia, Sian, Kristina, Tracy (thank you for all the cups of tea), Joanne, Mark, Katie, Stuart, Jess, Dominique and others who also loom large in our hearts, but in our distress we may have missed their names. We will be forever grateful not only for their care for Mark, but for their extraordinary compassion for us.
