Raising money for PROSTATE CANCER UK
In memory of Bill Arthur

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

Many of you will know Bill Arthur sadly passed away in the summer of 2024, his family and friends have been discussing the idea of a charity event of some kind to honour Bill’s memory for several months now. As Sky’s lead rugby league commentator, Bill used his voice and personal story to help promote the work of Prostate Cancer UK and took part in several high-profile events including walking with fellow sports personalities to help highlight the important work of the charity in raising awareness of men’s health issues.

Family, friends and community were everything to Bill, so we know he would love nothing more than to see the people he knew and cared about from East Markham and beyond come together to help raise money for his chosen charity.
